Product Care
Your Feronia products are designed to age beautifully, developing a unique patina over time. We meticulously craft each piece to ensure its quality endures through the years. The leathers are handpicked to match their respective styles in the best way. Here are some tailored care tips for each type of leather to help you preserve your leather goods and enjoy them for as long as possible.

Grained Leather
Our grained leather products are crafted from premium Indian full-grain leathers. The natural surface is enhanced with a carefully embossed grained pattern, offering increased resistance to everyday marks while requiring minimal maintenance.
Caring for grained leather ensures its longevity, keeps it looking luxurious, and helps it age beautifully. To enjoy your bag for as long as possible, we advise you to wipe the surface gently with a soft, dry cloth or a microfiber cloth from time to time to remove dirt. Moisturise it every 3-4 months with a colourless leather milk cream. This will allow the leather to age more harmoniously and preserve its suppleness. Store the article in a dust bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
We highly recommend entrusting your products to leather care professionals to ensure proper maintenance and prevent potential issues.

Care Instructions
In general, leather is sensitive to water. Keep it protected from rain and humidity, and if it becomes wet, gently dry it with a soft cloth.
We don't recommend ths use of wax, skin moisturizers, or leather sprays on our products, except for suede, which may require a specialized waterproofing treatment.

General Care
We recommend using a soft dry cloth to wipe down your leather products regularly. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth, avoiding excessive water.
If possible, rotate your leather items to give them time to rest and recover between uses, preventing over-wear.
Avoid placing leather items near radiators, heaters, or fireplaces, as excessive heat can damage the leather.
While leather is somewhat water-resistant, it's best to keep it dry. If your leather gets wet, gently blot the excess moisture with a dry cloth and let it air dry naturally. Never use a hairdryer or heat source to dry leather. In case the article gets wet on the inside, stuff it with unprinted paper to help absorb moisture from the interior.
In case you feel that your leather article is drying up because of very less use, massage it with a high-quality leather conditioner. We recommend using the Feronia Leather Care Kit because we know its best for your products.
In the unfortunate event of a spillage, blot the liquid immediately with a clean cloth. Avoid rubbing, as it may spread the stain. Never use harsh chemicals, soaps, or household cleaners on leather. Stick to products specifically designed for leather care.

Storage
You can continue to maintain the quality of your leather handbag even when you aren’t using it, by storing it in the right way.
Follow the below steps to ensure that your leather goods stay in the perfect condition.
- In order to preserve the carefully crafted shape of your bag, pad it with the tissue paper that comes in your new Feronia bag. In case you don't have it handy, use unprinted paper to stuff the bag. Avoid overfilling to keep the bag in perfect shape. You may also place the silica gel pouch that comes with your bag to manage the moisture levels.
- Once the bag is stuffed, put it inside the dedicated fabric dust bag that comes with your order. The fabric bag is perfect to store your leather bag safely since it allows the leather to breathe and also shields it from dust and light.
- Once your bag is all packed, store it in a well-ventilated area to let it breathe. Make sure to keep it away from direct sunlight since it can dry the leather and fade the colour of your bag. Avoid storing it in plastic or an airtight container to allow the leather to breathe.
Leather is a natural material and is prone to fungus if not stored carefully. In case your leather goods catch fungus, use a soft clean cloth dipped in mild soap-water solution (1:10) and clean the bag or wallet with it.
